| Axis Arts was founded by Ron Tribell in 1999.
Ron was the senior medical illustrator at the University of
Arkansas for Medical Sciences for 33 years. His medical
illustrations have been published in major medical textbooks
and journals; several have been chosen as cover art for The
Journal of Neurosurgery and Contemporary Surgery.
Ron has authored or co-authored articles in the Neurosurgical
Atlas of the American Association of Neurological
Surgeons, Thoracoscopic Spine Surgery, and the Atlas
of Foreshortening. His article, “The single unit concept
for medical and scientific posters,” was published in the Journal
of Biological Photography and reprinted in Poster
Exhibits for Scientific Presentations, published by the
Professional Division of Eastman Kodak Company. Axis Arts’
illustrations have assisted attorneys in obtaining settlements
and judgments, including one case in excess of 30 million
dollars. For more than 30 years, Ron Tribell's work has been
used for physician and surgeon education and product
promotion.
